Surveys, Speaking and Sleepless Nights
The last few weeks have been pretty damn exciting! A little too crazy though I must admit, but I seem to have popped out the other side unscathed. It has really been a rollercoaster of extreme highs, a few lows and a couple of sleepless nights wondering how I am going to fit everything in!
We have been making some changes to the design of the Grassroots website, and immediately we noticed that our visitors are spending twice as much time on the website. We are also now going to work on tweaking all of the copy etc. to see what will help our conversion rates and we have launched a small business survey with a massive prize to entice people to spend a few minutes giving us their opinion/experience. We will do this survey annually to see if our suspicions are correct regarding small business owners wasting much time and money on their websites. Stay tuned for the results… and if you haven’t already please take the survey!
We are also launching some web based courses on Twitter and Content Marketing which I am really looking forward to, and I get to practice my public speaking… I seem to have gotten over much of the intense paralysing, sweat inducing fear and but still need to practice as much as possible.
The Retire Young Course is attracting some great interest and is being shouted to the rafters by a few special people who I am very lucky to know. I have been interviewing people in 3 countries now and it looks like we will be having a global conversation. I am totally inspired by the people I am talking to and have fallen in love with some of them already! This is fast becoming my favourite bit of the 12 months project so far and I am looking forward to getting started. People are coming out of the woodwork; I had a random conversation with a woman in a shop today who took my card. A huge thanks to everyone who has helped me promote this course, I really appreciate it.
It is quite a delicious feeling to think that this time last year, none of this existed!
My mantra this week is… if you can’t get everything done, make sure you do the things you can do, well.

Oh bless you Serena! You’ve certainly been going for it. I’ve had a similar week. And out of the chaos comes progress, you’re getting there Serena. I think a celebratory dinner is called for!
